For Immediate Release - Friday, April 1, 2016 - OKLAHOMA CITY – Saturday night’s Grade 1, $100,000 Leo Stakes at Remington Park is loaded with older horse star-power, including the defending Horse of the Meeting and Leo Stakes winner, Dashin Brown Streak.

The champ in both the 2015 Leo Stakes and Remington Park Championship, Dashin Brown Streak ended his year with a third-place effort in the prestigious Champion of Champions at Los Alamitos in December. Trainer John Brasseaux brings his 6-year-old charge back in the Leo, the same race in which he started his campaign a year ago. Zacharie Kelsey will have the mount for the first time.

The morning-line favorite at 6-5 odds in the Leo Stakes is Zoomin Effortlessy. A 5-year-old gelding, Zoomin Effortlessly boasts a six-race winning streak that dates to May 2015 with all but the first in the string of victories coming in stakes races. Trained by Rick Robinson for owner Telesforo Perrett, Zoomin Effortlessly has the most career wins of the Leo entrants with 12.

The top career earner in the Leo field is Rock You with $790,055. Owned by Reliance Ranches of Guthrie, Okla., Rock You returns to action after preparing for the Leo Stakes with a fifth-place finish in the Eastex Stakes during the Opening Weekend of the Remington Park season.

The Leo is the 11th of 12 races Saturday night at Remington Park with an approximate post time scheduled at 10:20pm. The Grade 3, $50,000 Decketta Stakes for older fillies and mares at 350 yards, precedes the Leo in race 10 with a scheduled post of 9:54pm. The first race on Saturday night is 6pm.
