O. DELGADO and D. TORRES EACH POST RIDING TRIPLES AT REMINGTON PARK
OKLAHOMA CITY – Thursday, May 19, 2016 -- The racing weekend started on a cool and wet Thursday evening at Remington Park. Light rain and sloppy going suited a pair of jockeys very well as both Oscar Delgado and Daniel Torres each won three races.
Delgado scored his triple first starting with a win in the second race of the night with One Hot Senator ($5.80 to win). Delgado waited until race seven to pick up his next victory with JA Long Gone Gol ($10.80) and then completed the three-win night with Steel Dust ($11.20) in the ninth race.
Torres picked up the first of his three wins with Carpe Diem Drew ($3.40) in the fifth race. He then won both halves of the late daily double with Ruby Wagon ($17.60) in the 10th race and then Dingus Oak ($9.20) in the 11th and final race of the night.
Delgado’s triple gives him a total of six wins on the season while the three triumphs for Torres pushed his total to 26 wins.
