HERITAGE PLACE JUVENILE WON BY GOOD CAPTAIN PEPPER

OKLAHOMA CITY – Good Captain Pepper affirmed his class in the 2016 Remington Park 2-year-old quarter horse division by winning the $100,000 Heritage Place Juvenile in a time of :17.436 seconds for 350 yards.

He pushed his lifetime earnings to an even $90,000 with a record of three wins and one third-place finish in four starts.  Sent off at 5-1, Good Captain Pepper paid $13.00 to win, $3.20 to place and $2.80 to show. PV Eye Desire Candy finished second as the 2-1 second-choice and paid $3.60 to place and $2.60 to show. El Carretonero G 3 was the 3-5 betting favorite but stumbled at the start and recovered only to finish third, paying $2.40 to show.
