Bells Big Hero Surprises in Oklahoma Horsemen's Association Mystery Futurity
CLAREMORE, OK—NOVEMBER 12, 2016—(© Coady Photography) Bells Big Hero (11-1) ran down Dicecapdes to win the $177,000 Oklahoma Horsemen's Association Mystery Futurity by a nose Saturday afternoon at Will Rogers Downs. Jc Wild Rose finished half-a-length off the leaders in the show position.
Under jockey Agustin Silva, the Clinton Crawford trainee completed the 350 yards task in :17.590 seconds to earn a 94-speed index while picking up the $71,300 winner's purse.
Gregory Cullum owns the gelded son of leading sire Valiant Hero from the Bigtime Favorite mare Jess Big Time. Bred in Oklahoma by Terry Bell Estate, Bells Big Hero has compiled a (7) 3-0-1 record and earned $80,606 this season.

Fl Lady Bug Stakes winner Dicecapdes picked up $32,560 for her second-place effort. Gerry McLean conditions the daughter of three-time AQHA Racing champion Prospect To The Top for owner Terry McLean. James Flores had the riding call.
Also second in the Grade 3 Speedhorse Futurity last summer, J. Garvan Kelly and Nancy Yearsley bred Dicecapades in Oklahoma. Out of the Tres Seis mare Dicey Riley, the brown filly has won or placed in all seven starts and earned $167,517 this season.
Jc Wild Rose earned her second black-type finish this season for owner/breeder Jose Cervantes and trainer Luis Villafranco. Mario Delgado rode the daughter of leading sire Apollitical Jess from the Stoli mare Oh Cherokee Rose. Also third in the John Deere Will Rogers Juvenile last month, Jc Wild Rose has earned $43,641 this season.
E Catching Fire, Tempting Blonde, Pv Eye Desire, Py Sea, Hold Air Hostage, Ms Prize Diamond and Winnspiration completed the field.
