OKLAHOMA CITY – Unseasonably warm, and windy, weather greeted horsemen and their training race charges on Wednesday at Remington Park. Hez Our Prize posted the fastest time over 11 races, facing a strong headwind in the process.

Owned by Preston Cloud of Sallisaw, Okla. and trained by Clint Crawford, Hez Our Prize rolled over 250 yards in :13.557 seconds on a fast track. Under jockey Daniel Torres, Hez Our Prize put up the top time while running into a 16mph southerly wind. Temperatures on the bright and sunny afternoon reached the high 70s.

A 2-year-old Oklahoma-bred gelding by Hez Our Secret from the PYC Paint Your Wagon mare PYC OH Whatta Rose, Hez Our Prize put up his best time of the day in the 10^th training race.

The Remington Park training races are streamed and available for review on the Oklahoma Quarter Horse Racing Association website at oqhra.online. There will be 11 more training races at Remington Park on Thursday, Feb. 23, underway at 11am.

The 2017 American Quarter Horse Season at Remington Park will begin on Friday, March 10 and continue thru Saturday, June 3.
