LITTLE KOOL BELLE TAKES FLIGHT IN TOP THURSDAY TRAINING RACE AT REMINGTON PARK

OKLAHOMA CITY - March 1, 2018 – The fourth and final training race day of the week at Remington Park produced a sharp winner to look for once the 2018 American Quarter Horse Season begins. Little Kool Belle was much the best in drawing away to win by an easy 1-3/4 lengths in her event.

Owned and bred by the Edmond, Okla. partnership of Leann Burns and Stacy Hilland trained by Hill, Little Kool Belle rocketed from the starting gate under jockey Jorge Torres and easily pulled away to win, impressing while hand-ridden. Little Kool Belle crossed the 250-yard finish line in :13.514 over a fast track.

A 2-year-old Oklahoma-bred filly by PYC Paint Your Wagon from the Mr Jess Perry mare Little Kool Barbie, Little Kool Belle won the fourth of seven training races on Thursday, with a northerly tailwind of 16mph. The tailwind moved between 15 and 16mph throughout the program, run under sunny skies with temperatures in the low to mid-50s.

The 2018 American Quarter Horse, Paint and Appaloosa Season at Remington Park starts with a weekend of activity Friday, March 9 thru Sunday, March 11. The first race on Opening Night, March 9 is at 6pm. The first race on Saturday, March 10 starts at 4pm. Sunday action on March 11 is underway at 1:30pm.

The Remington Park season will continue thru June 2 with a total of 50 race dates scheduled.
