OKLAHOMA CITY - March 7, 2018 -- Training races continue at Remington Park, just days away from the Opening Night of the 2018 American Quarter Horse Season on Friday night. Uncurled Fist was too strong for his training race foes, handling 250-yards in :13.342 over a fast track.

Owned by MJR Investments of Edinburg, Texas and trained by Clint Crawford, Uncurled Fist was asked a couple of times early by jockey Omar Reyes before easily pulling clear of his four rivals. By the midway point of the training event, Uncurled Fist was not to be denied as he cruised home under wraps to win by two lengths.

An Oklahoma-bred 2-year-old gelding by One Famous Eagle from the PYC Paint Your Wagon mare Cruzin The Wagon, Uncurled Fist was bred by Reliance Ranches.

The seven training races Wednesday were contested under sunny skies with temperatures reaching the low 50s. Wind was out of the north for a tailwind that ranged from 9-11mph throughout the session. Uncurled Fist competed with an 11mph tailwind.

The 2018 American Quarter Horse, Paint and Appaloosa Season at Remington Park starts with a weekend of activity Friday, March 9 thru Sunday, March 11. The first race on Opening Night, March 9 is at 6pm. The first race on Saturday, March 10 starts at 4pm. Sunday action on March 11 is underway at 1:30pm.

The Remington Park season will continue thru June 2 with a total of 50 race dates scheduled.
