JZOOMIN SCOOT WINS IN A DEAD-HEAT FOR SECOND STRAIGHT RACE AT REMINGTON PARK

OKLAHOMA CITY -- May 17, 2018 – Jzoomin Scoot won his third consecutive turn race of the Remington Park season, a $15,000-level claiming race with a purse of $21,100. The Thursday night score was also his second straight win, in a dead-heat finish.

Jzoomin Scoot and Hiclass Man bobbed noses for the final furlong of the 870-yard event, hitting the finish with their noses on the line at the same time. On April 14, Jzoomin Scoot managed a dead-heat win with Streak Jase, who ran third in the race on Thursday night. 

Owned by Roberto Gomez of Parker, Colo. and trained by Manuel Almanza, Jr., Jzoomin Scoot has been ridden in all of his victories this season by Eugenio Navarrete

Both Jzoomin Scoot and Hiclass Man each made $8,764 for their share of the dead-heat win. Jzoomin Scoot is a 6-year-old Oklahoma-bred gelding by Jess Zoomin from the Zip Cash mare Scootan Wootan. The second-straight dead-heat win was the seventh career triumph for Jzoomin Scoot.

Hiclass Man is a 5-year-old Oklahoma-bred gelding by Brimmerton from the Separatist mare Hiclass Kamikaze. He is owned by Jo Rice of Pryor, Okla. and is trained by Pat Swan and ridden by Andrew Samaniego.

Remington Park racing continues Friday night at 6pm. The $30,000 Mister Lewie Memorial Stakes is featured with Painted Turnpike heavily favored as the 3-5 morning-line favorite. Painted Turnpike will attempt to extend his all-time Remington Park record for wins in this season. Going into the Mister Lewie Memorial, Painted Turnpike has 11 career victories at Remington Park.

Saturday racing at Remington Park begins with a special Noon start as the Preakness Stakes simulcast from Pimlico in Baltimore will be featured right after the live program concludes. Sunday racing begins at 1:30pm.
